Trying Out the Many Restaurants in Chicago Series: (1) Bang Bang Pie and Biscuits

November 7, 2018

So if you haven't read my intro post about the restaurants we are trying got check it out HERE first.

The family and I visited the cutest pie shop a few days ago and I cannot wait to go back.  Bang Bang Pie and Biscuits!

"Bang Bang Pie & Biscuits continues Mid-Western cooking traditions, eager to serve up our unique take on hospitality, decadence and cafe life."

Serving both sweet and savory items plus coffee, we of course were there for the sweets as we had the children.  Bang Bang Pie and Biscuits has two locations.  One in Logan Square and the other in Ravenswood.  We visited the logan square location.  They are open during the week from 7am-7pm.  We arrived around 6pm so the restaurant was not crowded at all.  Perfect for our family of 6.

As we entered, we were kindly greeted by the cashier who explained to us everything about their menu.  He was warm and extremely nice to the kids so much so that they didn't want to leave.  The kids and I also loved the laid back, inviting and trendy decor.

We were also greeted by who I assume was the lovely lady making all the delicious pies.  She mentioned that her favorite was the key lime so of course we ordered plus we added the classic apple and the chocolate caramel.  The prices were great going between $5-$7 dollars for a slice so we were able to try a few items without breaking the bank!

The pies were delicious!  My favorite was of course the classic apple but I also enjoyed the chocolate caramel.  The mixture together was perfect plus the drop of whipped cream on top had my mouth watering for another slice!

The kids loved this shop and so did Jay and I!  Because Bang Bang Pie is open daily, I think it is a perfect place for a quick dessert stop and treat with the family and a great spot if you need to get some work done as there is plenty of seating plus bar areas that are perfect for your laptop!

Definitely go and checkout this cute shop and let me know if you do!  If you have already been, please let me know your thoughts and your favorite pie for when I drop by again next week!  While I am there I will definitely indulge in a buscuit as well.

Happy Pie Eating!
